Thanks greg , frugal luthiery nothing wrong with that. I flattened the back last night eliminated the skew, an will grind /hone mine back to 45, an give it a go. I ordered a .060 cutter for my LN compass. It/s faster doing it by hand than fiddling with my air die grinder. I have used exacto knives to define interior/exterior rosettes that go out of round., and then used a chisel to hollow out the trough with a rtr.
